Living in the Netherlands, I always longed for more time by the ocean. After nearly a decade of running a specialty coffee brand—where I shaped its identity through photography, illustrations, and coffee bar design—I decided it was time for a solid change.  I left the coffee business, packed my van with cameras, a proper surfboard quiver and a stack of funky coffee and set off on a journey along the European Atlantic. I made my way down south and now i wander along the coasts of South Portugal, South-West France, North Spain and other beautiful places, chasing the swell.

In the surf culture I found an opportunity to combine my passion for surfing and photography while chasing the flow state of mind that emerges from a surfing life. This world of creative people who choose alternative paths never fails to amaze me, surprise me and inspire me.

I shoot with both 35mm film and digital formats, finding a balance in the challenges and imperfections of analog photography and the precision of modern technology.

My work is raw, intuitive and narrative. I love to play with natural light and dynamic subjects both on land and in the water.

By the ocean i found my flow.
